Somewhere Over the Rainbow Was One To Remember!
This August, Ladysmith Shopping Centre came alive with colour, creativity, and community spirit as we hosted not one, but two rainbow-themed Family Fun Days. Every activity was free and we were over the moon to see so many families and familiar faces join us for the celebrations.
Saturday 9th August – A Day Full of Colour
Our first event kicked off in style, filling the centre with laughter and creativity. Children and families got stuck into:
Rainbow Paper Crafts – with little ones designing and making their very own colourful masterpieces
Bubble Blowing Fun – bubbles floated through the centre, with plenty of giggles as kids chased and popped them
Rainbow Storytelling Sessions – families gathered for three magical sessions of imaginative tales
Face Painting – from rainbow creatures to sparkling designs, our face painter was kept busy transforming excited faces
Saturday 16th August – Sparkles & Creativity
The fun didn’t stop there! A week later, we welcomed everyone back for another day of hands-on activities and glittering designs, including:
Badge Making Workshop – children loved creating their very own colourful badges to take home
Glitter Tattoos – sparkling designs added that extra touch of magic to the day
The Rainbow Trail
Families also took part in our Rainbow Trail, hunting for colours hidden in store windows. Not only did trail-goers collect a sweet treat once they completed their sheet, but they were also entered into a prize draw for a surprise gift – which added even more excitement!
Community Spirit
What made these events even more special was seeing so many families enjoying free activities together, creating wonderful summer memories, and supporting a great cause. Donations raised went towards our Charity of the Year, The Anthony Seddon Fund, and we’re so grateful for the generosity shown.
